  • Year 3 & 4 Football Tournament

    This week, children from Year 3 and 4 took part in a football tournament. They gave each match 100% effort and showed great sportsmanship, shaking hands with every player after each match. Well done, team!

  • Class 6's Visit to the Mansfield Recovery Facility

    Today, Class 6 visited the Mansfield Recovery Facility. We were able to tour the facility to learn what happens to recycled waste and what the materials recovered are used for. We also learnt about the importance of recycling and the impact on the environment. We are very keen to share our learning with pupils and parents; over the next few weeks we will be working hard to inform others about the items that can and cannot be recycled. 

  • YEAR 5'S RESIDENTIAL TO YORK

    On Wednesday 21st June, Class 5 travelled to York for their two-night residential.  On route, they visited Eden Camp to learn more about life in World War 2.  On the second day, they learnt about the history of chocolate and York's crucial role in its production, whilst enjoying some delicious chocolate.  Then, the children enjoyed learning more about The Vikings at the DIG and the Jorvik Museum.  On the final day, they experienced York from a different perspective, on a river cruise, before a final stop at the National Railway Museum.   

  • School Disco Fun

    Fantastic fun was had by all at the disco on Friday night. Children (and teachers) danced the night away, showing off their amazing dance skills! Throughout the evening, children were able to enjoy a range of delicious snacks: hot dogs, popcorn and sweets. Thank you to everyone who supported this event. 

  • Class 6's Residential to Kingswood

    On Wednesday 14th June, Class 6 began their two-night residential at Kingswood in the Peak District. Despite the hot weather, the children had an excellent, adventurous three days where they took part in a range of activities: rafting, climbing and archery to name a few. We enjoyed some delicious meals and even squeezed in a campfire and disco! A fun time was certainly had by all. Everyone pushed themselves further than they anticipated and we even had a few children who conquered their fears! 

     

     

  • Class 4's visit to Yorkshire Wildlife Park

    As part of our Science learning on Living Things and their Habitats, Class 4 visited Yorkshire Wildlife Park. Despite the incredibly hot weather, we had a fantastic day looking at all the animals and considering what was special about each of their enclosures. We took part in a special workshop about animal habitats around the world and learnt some fascinating facts to help us further our learning! We also had the opportunity to hold some live animals: cockroaches and snails, and we were able to stroke a reptile called Arnie.

  • Class 6 Enterprise Event

    Class 6 held their Enterprise event after school on Thursday 8th June. The event was extremely popular and successful: the children's profit was £364.23! This was an outstanding figure! All of the children worked especially hard and should feel proud of their achievement.
