Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
Today Class 6 have had a swinging time at Go Ape in Sherwood Pines.
The children all pushed themselves and discovered they were capable of more than they thought.
Everyone had a brilliant day!
The school celebrated the Platinum Jubilee with a traditional ‘Street Party’ yesterday. We had bunting, flags, music and food galore! With true British grit we were not deterred by the wet weather and this was rewarded with glorious sunshine half way through our banquet. Thank you to all of the families that supported us by providing delicious fruit and nibbles. We really did have a super afternoon.
Year 4 went for a river walk along the Trent to identify some geographical features along the river including both plant and animal life. Then we sat on the riverbank and painted the scene before us in the style of Claude Monet. I was blown away by all of the paintings produced and so impressed with the concentration and technique used by all the children throughout the session.
Class 3 enjoyed their trip to Lincoln Mosque. They explored the different rooms of the mosques and learnt about the importance of the different features. Class 3 enjoyed learning more about Islamic prayer and cleaning rituals. An excellent morning was had by all!
Biking fun! This week got off to a flying start with Y6 pupils beginning their Bikeability course. They have learnt lots about bike safety and have enjoyed a road ride around the village and have already progressed to Level 2.
Group 2 can't wait to start on Wednesday.
