Instrumental Music

Instrumental music lessons are provided as an optional extra in school.  Parents and carers can choose to engage with the Music for Schools Foundation, a charity who teach small group lessons in woodwind and brass instruments in over 500 schools across England and Wales.  More information can be found on the link below: 

Pupils can also sign up to Rocksteady Music School band lessons . This involves lessons on either electric drums, keyboards, lead and base guitars or singing. Children are organised into bands and each band practises together weekly.  At the end of a term, the bands perform to their parents. For more information, follow the link below:


In partnership with Inspire Music, we are able to offer pupils both individual and shared drumming lessons. Inspire is a mutual benefit society and is the lead partner of the Nottinghamshire Music Education Hub with connections to organisations such as The National Youth Orchestra, The National Youth Choir of Great Britain, The Nottingham Royal Centre and many others.
