  • Year Two's 'Castle Day'

    Wed 18 Oct 2023

On Wednesday 18th October, Year Two concluded their 'Castles' learning by having an experience day in school. All the children (and staff) got dressed up depending on what they would have liked to do in the castle - we had a range of royal family members, knights and even a cook. We created our own castles, considered suitable locations and designs for a castle, and even had a mini 'medieval feast'. It was a great day. Thank you to all the parents and carers for their support with the fantastic costumes and props.

  • Class 6's Visit to The National Holocaust Centre

    Wed 11 Oct 2023

Class 6 visited The National Holocaust Centre in Laxton following their work in Religious Education. Whilst at the centre, we undertook a workshop, where we learnt about the events of the Holocaust and observed some artefacts. Following this, we went on a tour of the centre to understand what it was like to live in Berlin during World War 2. Before departing, we visited the memorial gardens where the children had the opportunity to place a stone on the memorial in memory of the children whose lives were taken during the Holocaust.
