    107 children are attending school with the help of our marquees. The marquees are fully-equipped with electricity and wi-fi. The children are learning effectively and having lots of fun!
  • New Climbing Frame

    We now have a brand new climbing frame and it is being enjoyed by our Key Worker children this term!
  • School re-opens to Foundation, Year 1 and Year 6 and remains open to the children of Key Workers.

  • STEM / Enablers Day

    STEM Day/Enablers day
     

    The children really immersed themselves in STEM Day today. STEM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a chance for pupils to explore inventive tasks and activities and focussed on using the core enablers of questioning and creativity. There were lots of interesting classroom enterprises across the school, including exploring magnets with magnet man, looking at natural disasters with tsunami pods, farm design, boat building using recycled items and using ‘eggstranauts’ to look at marsian landers.

    Staff came to school dressed as crayons to celebrate the lovely book 'The Day the Crayons Quit' by Drew Daywalt.
  • World Book Day - Potato Character Competition

    As part of our World Book Day celebrations we held a Potato Character competition. There were so many amazing entries; Miss Saxelby and her team of judges found choosing the winners really tricky! The children were very creative and all the staff were extremely impressed with every one. Well done to everyone who entered.
  • Australia Day

    Today children brought in a soft toy of their choice for a £1.00 donation. The children had great fun with their furry friends at break times and thanks to the generosity of our children and parents we raised over £175 pounds for the Australia Appeal. One of our guests even helped Mrs Talbott count the money raised! 
  • Visit from Nottingham Forest Football Club

    The children had an amazing surprise on Tuesday the 14th of January, when representatives from Nottingham Forest Football Club came to school with the European Cup which they won in 1979. The Robin Hood mascot came and each child was given a cap and a pencil after the assembly. There was a lot of excitement throughout the school, including some very happy teachers!

    Yesterday the students of Muskham Primary held their own election, with Year 6 pupils standing in the Purple, Pink, Grey and Orange parties. Manifestos were presented and election campaigns have taken place throughout the week and today the results are in....the Pink party were victorious. Congratulations to the Pink party and well done to all of Year 6. The election generated some great conversations throughout the school and we are proud of all the children for getting involved.     This is the Pink party’s manifesto – Please vote for us.

     

    Education – We pledge to do the following:

     

    • We will spend £10 million on training more teachers and teaching assistants to reduce class sizes and for children to have the best education they can!
    • We also want every child to have a free school dinner. We will raise taxes by 15% to all big companies who make more than £100 million a year to make free school dinners available. We will also make vegetable patches in primary school. Once this happened taxes will lower.

     

    Health & Social Care – We pledge to do the following:

     

    • £10 million is what we will spend to train extra doctors and nurses to help people in serious need. The money will also come from bigger companies’ taxes.
    • We also promise to spend £100 thousand on hospital beds as there isn’t enough at the moment.

     

    Law & Order – We pledge to do the following:

     

    • We are going to improve police officers’ ability and train new ones, also with the money from bigger companies.
    • We also promise to make officers more aware of knife crime as it is a big problem at the moment.

     

    Tax & Spending – We pledge to do the following:

     

    • We will raise individual taxes by 5%, but only to people who earn more than £500 thousand.

     

    Environment – We pledge to do the following:

     

    • We will plant a new tree with every £50 a person gives their Eco group.
    • We are also going to create a group in most communities called the Eco group.
