STEM Day/Enablers day
The children really immersed themselves in STEM Day today. STEM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a chance for pupils to explore inventive tasks and activities and focussed on using the core enablers of questioning and creativity. There were lots of interesting classroom enterprises across the school, including exploring magnets with magnet man, looking at natural disasters with tsunami pods, farm design, boat building using recycled items and using ‘eggstranauts’ to look at marsian landers.
The children had an amazing surprise on Tuesday the 14th of January, when representatives from Nottingham Forest Football Club came to school with the European Cup which they won in 1979. The Robin Hood mascot came and each child was given a cap and a pencil after the assembly. There was a lot of excitement throughout the school, including some very happy teachers!
Yesterday the students of Muskham Primary held their own election, with Year 6 pupils standing in the Purple, Pink, Grey and Orange parties. Manifestos were presented and election campaigns have taken place throughout the week and today the results are in....the Pink party were victorious. Congratulations to the Pink party and well done to all of Year 6. The election generated some great conversations throughout the school and we are proud of all the children for getting involved. Please see the Pink party's manifesto below.
