Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
On Friday 11th November the whole school enjoyed a day exploring our Enablers. Each class completed activities using the Enablers to enhance their learning.
Some examples of this:
The children have enjoyed the castle topic this half-term and had a super day bringing all their learning together on our topic day. We had lots of fabulous outfits and the children really took on the role of their characters; these included knights, princesses, kings, queens , cooks and jesters!
Class 6 had a spectacular day on Wednesday when they travelled back in time to the 1940’s. We dressed up and participated in many wartime activities such as: learning the National Anthem; preparing vegetable turnovers using rationed ingredients; dancing to the Lindy Hop and singing wartime classics like ‘It’s a Long Long Way to Tipperary’. Throughout the day, we experienced air and gas raids; we had to wear our gas masks and take shelter until it was safe. We had a fantastic time celebrating the end of a brilliant topic.
Class 6 had an amazing time at their school sleepover on Friday night; they played games, ate snacks, watched a film and had (very) little sleep.
We had such an amazing time at the summer fair last week – the atmosphere was buzzing and everyone looked like they were having a great time. From a bouncy castle, refreshments and a huge array of raffles and stalls, there was something for everyone.
A huge thank you to our wonderful MEG team (especially Lucy Whate and Michelle Burke) who spent many hours organising and delivering such a fantastic afternoon. Additionally, a big thank you to parents for all your kind donations, and a big well done to raffle prize winners!
The Fair raised a staggering £1,618.73 - This will be used to buy an iPad for each class.
Thank you all so much for coming.
Class 5 and 6 put on three spectacular performances of ‘A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To Camelot’ last week. The costumes were fantastic, the singing was superb and the acting was amazing! Well done, Year 5 and 6!
What an incredible turn out for both the KS1 and KS2 sports mornings! It was good to be back celebrating together after the challenges faced over the recent years. It is fair to say we have very talented children and parents at Muskham Primary School. From the beanbag toss to the relay races, our children demonstrated high quality skills in each activity they participated in. The teams in KS1 were based on sports that require high levels of teamwork and KS2 celebrated the athletes in the Olympic and Paralympic games. It was lovely to see the children, staff and the parents showing such enthusiasm and determination in their races. A big thank you to the Tuxford Physical Education students who supported the delivery of the sports mornings. We raised a grand total of £70.
Now for the important part!
The winning team from the KS1 sports morning was ….. the Tennis Team!
The winning team from the KS2 Sports morning was …. Purple 2 team!
Huge congratulations to both teams!
Class 3 had great fun during their DT day. They used levers to make catapults which sent their pompoms high into the air. They also designed and made an invention to help Ander the Stone Age man get his rocks over a river.
Yesterday, Class 6 enjoyed their trip to the Harry Potter Studios in London. We participated in a special activity, where we created our own screenplay ideas using real props from the films! We then completed the tour which was amazing! Everyone had a fantastic day!
Today Class 6 have had a swinging time at Go Ape in Sherwood Pines.
The children all pushed themselves and discovered they were capable of more than they thought.
Everyone had a brilliant day!
