Today, Class 6 participated in a fantastic workshop provided by the Canal and River Trust. Our workshop involved consolidating our learning about why rivers flood, how it is managed and acted as engineers to consider ways to prevent flooding. After break, we ventured to the River Trent, where we completed observational map drawings of the river features. We identified flood areas, before investigating the speed of the current.
Our workshop provider was in awe of the children's knowledge during the workshop.
