Hello Class 3,
I hope you have all had a wonderful summer holiday. I can't wait to welcome you back and hear all about the things that you have been doing! Our topic this half term is 'Robin Hood.' Please find more information on the topic web below.
PE will be on a Monday afternoon with me and on a Thursday afternoon with Miss Nairn. Please ensure that you have your labelled PE kit in school. Earrings must be removed or covered for PE lessons. Please also make sure that your school uniform is fully labelled.
Class 3 will be able to use the MUGA every Friday. Please ensure that you have a pair of trainers in school to change into before going onto the MUGA.
Reading diaries need to be in school every day so that I can write in them.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Class 3/4 enjoyed a full day of activities at Sherwood Forest. They enjoyed a morning based on their current history topic, Robin Hood. Followed by an afternoon learning about the creatures that live in the forest and building habitats for them.
The children enjoyed taking part in our National Numeracy Day activities. They started the day by taking part in a TTRS competition, which they all entered into with enormous enthusiasm! Other activities included budgeting for a meal, planning what to spend at the fair and discussing how they could use numbers in a future career.
The children enjoyed looking at some original Roman artefacts. They handled some Roman coins, and a Roman oil lamp and looked at some Roman spears and javelin tips. They couldn't believe that these objects were from over 1000 years ago!!
The children had an interesting session, as the charity Leon's Legacy visited the school. They learnt how to approach an emergency situation, how to administer CPR, and how to use a defibrillator.
