Head Teacher's Blog

The "big event" of the week was the inspector's monitoring visit carried out by Jan Connor, Her Majesty's Inspector of Schools.  Jan was in school on Tuesday and Wednesday and carried out a number of tasks including interviewing the children, parents, senior staff, governors and local authority staff. She reviewed our safeguarding arrangements, all of the children's end of year results, plans for 2015-16 and observed teaching and learning throughout the school.  It was yet another very positive visit and her letter and report should hopefully be with us before the end of the school year.

On Thursday, the football team went to Dunham-on-Trent Primary School, where they won with a convincing 8 - 0 result.  Friday's match at home against Sutton-on-Trent Primary School saw an equally excellent outcome with a final score of 8 - 1 to Muskham.  Well done to the boys - they haven't lost a single match this year and I look forward to seeing how they fair in the Newark League next year.  From September, we will have a "B Team" of slightly younger players who will continue to represent the school in the Tuxford League.

Children's end of year reports have been sent home today.  If parents haven't received their copy, please get in touch with school to follow this up.
