Please be aware that we have pupils in school with nut allergies. To help keep everyone safe, we are a nut free school. We kindly ask that you do not send your child to school or on trips with food containing nuts.
Additionally, please ensure that any foods that could pose a choking hazard, such as grapes or cherry tomatoes, are cut into smaller pieces.
Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping all our pupils safe.
At Muskham Primary we are proud to say we have a regular weekly uptake of 70%+ school dinners. Mrs Browning and Mrs Hunt are an exceptional kitchen team who care deeply about the food they prepare and serve. Child's medical dietary requirements or religious needs can be catered for, please let the school office know in writing if your child has any specific needs. Unfortunately, the menu cannot be adapted for "likes and dislikes".
The kitchen team are responsible to the County Catering Service, Vertas, for providing high quality meals at lunch time every day.
School Meals are provided at a cost of £3.40 per day (or free for those who qualify, including all children in Foundation Stage 2, Years 1 and 2 under Universal Fee School Meals legislation). The class teacher completes a "Dinner Register" every morning so there is no need to book a school meal in advance - your child just needs to know if they are having a school meal on any given day and say so during the register.
Please ensure your child's dinners are paid for in advance via Arbor
Any parent wishing to apply for free school meals should apply here, or contact the Nottinghamshire County Council customer service centre on 0300 500 8080
If your child prefers a packed lunch, we encourage a healthy, balanced lunchbox.
