Year 5 - AM
Welcome to Year 5!
I hope you have all had a lovely summer holiday. I am looking forward to teaching you this year. We have lots of exciting topics to learn about: Maya Civilisation, North and South America, The English Civil War, Our Extreme Earth (volcanoes and earthquakes) and Invaders and Settlers (Anglo-Saxons and The Vikings).

Both Year 4 and 5 children will do PE on a Tuesday with the sports coach. This term, each Friday afternoon, Year 5 children will do PE with me, whilst the Year 4 children go swimming. Please ensure that you have your labelled PE kit in school on PE days and make sure that your school uniform is also fully labelled. Earrings must be removed or covered.
Each Thursday, Year 5 can use the MUGA at playtimes. Children may either change into trainers or ensure their school shoes are MUGA appropriate.
Homework will be given out each Friday afternoon and should be returned by Wednesday morning. If your child requires any assistance with this, please email me.
