Educating children today has to be a partnership. They cannot achieve their full potential without good communication. Factors at home will often affect a child’s performance at school and factors at school may equally cause difficulties at home. Hence, common sense dictates that contact and co-operation are paramount.
The school therefore operates an Open Door policy.
Parents are welcome to come and see the Head Teacher or members of staff. A little notice is helpful and, for important issues, an appointment might be made. This can usually be arranged within 24 hours.
Parents should not enter classrooms without prior consent whilst lessons are in session, as this can disrupt the children’s learning.
The Head Teacher endeavours to be available for general enquiries between 8.30 and 9.00 a.m. and again between 3.30 and 4.00 p.m.
The Golden Rule is that if you unsure or worried come and see the Head Teacher.
